Ant's body is divided into three parts, namely the head, mesosoma (chest), and metasoma (abdomen). Ant
morphology is quite clear compared to other insects that also has
antenna, metapleural glands, and stomach both relating to shaft ants
forming a narrow waist (pedunkel) between mesosoma (the chest cavity and
abdomen) and metasoma (abdomen less the abdominal segments the petiole).Labels: ants
